North Bay Police are warning local residents and businesses about some poorly-made counterfeit $100 bills that are circulating.

Police say they lack a serial number, have Chinese lettering and the ink will transfer if wet.

Residents and businesses are advised to check bills carefully and report any suspicious bills to the North Bay Police Service.

Anyone with information can call the North Bay Police Service at 705-497-5555 and select option 9 to speak to a police officer.

For those who wish to remain anonymous, contact Near North Crime Stoppers, by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or by submitting a tip online at nearnorthcrimestoppers.com.
