City police report 277 calls for service on the weekend with five people facing charges for a variety of offences.

A 24 year old woman is charged with assault with a weapon, uttering threats, forcible confinement and breach.

This after a domestic incident around 3 am Saturday.

It’s alleged a person grabbed a hammer and threatened a female victim,  who was forced to stay and then hit.

As for the other calls for service, impaired, domestic assault and fraud under $5,000 charges were filed.

 

Meantime, North Bay Police are looking for public assistance with a few break and enters in recent days.

Sometime overnight last Thursday a business was forcibly entered on the 900 block of Cassells Street.

It appears nothing was taken.

Around 5:30 am Friday a rock was thrown through the glass of a business on the 100 block of Oak West.

Again it appears nothing was taken.

Then on Sunday morning around 11 am a Giant-brand black mountain bike with grey trim and a light on its handlebars was stolen while left unattended outside in the 400 block of Ferguson Street.
